Martin Luther King, Jr.

I'm sorry for not posting!!! Well, Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday was Sunday. To honor him, I have something written-by me-about him! If you're to lazy to read, that's okay! It's kinda long anyway... Just make sure you comment on what you think about Martin Luther King, Jr.! This is subject to © Copyright and I do get notified if you have copied this, or in other words, plagiarism. But, you are welcome to use this for research. NO PLAGIARISM!!!

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 and was assassinated on April 4, 1968. He was born as Michael Luther King, Jr., but his name was later changed to Martin. As a child, Martin grew up in segregation, between colored people and white people. He endured life in limits, such as not being able to drink in a certain water fountain or even ride the school bus! His life and the life of other African-Americans were filled with an adequate number of problems because of their race. Martin Luther King, Jr. knew that he had to help make a change, the reason why he is considered a protagonist, or a hero, in the history of freedom from segregation.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a very good man. No, he was more than that. He was a courageous man, that was willing to risk his own life for the freedom of others. He fought for rights with no fear. Martin Luther King, Jr. led a bus boycott in 1955 saying that no Black boys, girls, men, and women would ride a bus until bus laws were changed! King led marches, strikes, and faced the consequences-watching his people be arrested, beat, and charged with fireman hoses, and even experienced them himself! Martin, was also very charismatic. He was a church preacher, and also recited many speeches, such as one of his most famous, “I Have a Dream”. King led a quest. A quest that started as a horrible situation of segregation between people. A quest that caused Martin to plant a seed, a seed that would grow into years of speeches, and boycotts, marches, etc. This seed, that would grow into a plant, that blossomed into today, a world where everyone is free. Without Martin, our nation would be filled never ending segregation, because he inspired and motivated others to follow his foot steps.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a peaceful person. He interacted with people in a peaceful manner. When his house was bombed, he told people not to act in violence. He had stated that violence only made matters worse. He was right! Dr. King treated people with love. He once exclaimed that you must love your enemies!!! Martin treated everyone equally. He did not care if you were White, Black, Asian, Hispanic-any race! In one of his speeches he said, “... I have a dream, that one day, my children will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream, ...” Martin Luther King, Jr. followed the steps of Ghandi, acting in non-violence. Martin was a Baptist church preacher. To him, freedom was like the “Promised Land” in the Exodus. Moses's story was basically Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life. He guided people into the “Promised Land”, but he knew that he would only be able to see it. He would not enter because he had reached the mountaintop. Martin mentioned all this in his last preach (speech) “The Mountaintop” on April 3, 1968, the day before he was shot to death.

I did not put the rest in... Well, chow!

W O W

Well, first of all, I'd like to thank all visitors! In less than a week, we have gotten 53 visitors! W-O-W!!! At least that's what the Cluster Map says... Now something even more incredible!!! Our blog stats say that we have gotten 160 visitors in our first week!!! Again, W-O-W!!! I am so glad "www" is flourishing so fast!!! (My old blog had that amount in 3 months!)  Please tell friends and family to visit! Comment, too!

Now, I'd like to state the fact that WOW upside-down, spells MOM! I'm going to say MOM from now on!

Secondly, I'd like you to comment on this post, some ideas for this blog... "www" is an open-minded blog, willing to take any ideas!

If you don't know how to make a comment, here are the steps:

1) Under the post, there will be a quantity number of comments. Click on that.

2) Post a comment. Be sure to write what you want and write your name (no last names) or username at the end. If possible, also leave your email.

3) Preview and then hit "Publish".

And wa-lah! You've commented!

When we use your idea, we will put on the end of the post a "credit" with your name or username.

Also, many of you can't tell who's posting. Is it Didi, or is it Kalliou =D? Well, here's a way so that you can know. At the end of posts, there will normally be "LABELS:". Well, at least at the end of my posts... At the end of my posts, there will be "Didi". And always, the end of a post, will say "Posted by:"

Another thing I discovered, is that each post, depending on which author wrote it, will have a different colored title. Didi's (me) posts will always have a darker title:

See?

Kalliou's title's will always be brighter:

Note the difference?

And a little difference, is that I tend to add crackers to my posts! Don't judge me! I love crackers! Salty ones especially... Well, hope, I helped! Sorry for making such a long post!

Late Shoppers

Hey for the late shoppers out there 'Toys R Us' will be open for a long time! Some people think that waiting till' the last minute gets you good deals. But how are you going to get what gifts you want when everything is picked over? My advice is to start shopping for Christmas gifts on black Friday or a little later. Do NOT wait till' the last week before Christmas, like I did this year.
